  13.     I have no new queries to propose.

  15. 2. Integration of appendices
  16.     To address my concerns raised in my appendix of the previous draft,
  17.     I propose the following concrete changes.
  18.  
  19.     * Add "From 4/1/87 to the present, he has managed the Book department."
  20.     in line 10 of the second column on page 4.
  21.  
  22.     * Replace the last sentence of the first full paragraph on page QQ-6
  23.     with "Third, like the first argument, the second argument may be
  24.     computed from valid times and/or user-defined attribute values in the
  25.     argument tuples."
  26.  
  27.     * Remove the first sentence of the italicized paragraph at the end
  28.     of section 6.4.2.
  29.  
  30.     * Replace the two possibilities, Derived and Imposed, for the value of
  31.     the valid-time attribute in Figure 6 with four possibilities:
  32.     Intersection, Union, Derived, and Imposed. Add Intersection and Union
  33.     to the rightmost set of Figure 2. Add the following after the "a
  34.     derived value is computer solely..." sentence: "The derived value
  35.     may involve the intersection of the underlying valid-time
  36.     components, a union of the underlying components, or may be computed
  37.     in some other way from the valid-time components (termed, simply,
  38.     derived.)" The following queries, with a current vaid-time component
  39.     of "Derived," would be reclassified as follows.

  90.     I think the presentation of the authors and the appendix is
  91.     entirely appropriate.

  93. 5. Strawman proposals for revised sections
  94.     I feel that Christian did an excellent job in addressing the
  95.     concerns raised at the workshop. I have only a few typographical
  96.     remarks.

  101.     1st column, line 2    remove comma after constructed
